House of Black Culture (Theme House)

House of Black Culture (Theme House)

The William Henry Fouse House of Black Culture is a permanent theme house. Theme houses are former single-family homes converted to on-campus, single-sex residential facilities for upperclass students with a common goal. Residents of each house are expected to create and take part in programming events to benefit the residents, the special interest group they represent and the campus community. Each house accommodates four to five to students. The houses are fully furnished with single and double bedrooms and laundry facilities. Two houses are permanent features of the Residence Life Program because of the connection with their academic department. The other houses may alternate each year, depending on the applications submitted for selection.
